What a joyful way to spend a Saturday morning!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Volunteer Appreciation Gathering on April 25th at the Center for Positive Aging in Hollywood!
We enjoyed coffee and pastries, played volunteer bingo, attemped minute-to-win-it challenges (some more competitive than others), and even made painted garden spoons!
We were excited to recognize two of our wonderful long term volunteers with this year’s Jean Pierce Awards for Outstanding Volunteer Service: Jerry Stewart and Donnee Sue Twining!
Both Jerry and Donnee Sue have been long-time regulars at our Hollywood Fred Meyer location, and collectively they have given more than 5,000 hours of volunteer time in support of our homebound clients!
We are deeply grateful for the dedication and generosity that Jerry, Donnee Sue, and the rest of our incredible volunteer community show on a weekly basis. Together, we are working towards a community in which all people are nourished, connected, and able to age safely in the setting of their own choosing!
