Last month Store to Door hosted an all-staff training on equity, led by the Center for Equity and Inclusion. This half day session allowed us an opportunity have challenging conversations about race and privilege as a complete staff, and examine how both impact our work with clients.
As an organization, Store to Door is committed to reforming our recruitment practices and service delivery to be more responsive to diverse client and volunteer needs. Our Equity Team, established in 2017, is leading this work and our staff training is a crucial piece of our Equitable Outreach Plan. We look forward to our follow up session in the fall.
